Warm Color Fall Leaves

Objectives:

Procedure:

Students will

- Learn about warm and cool colors

- Students will draw leaves on paper and color them in using warm colors. They will then add cool colors in the background

- Learn about how to blend and overlap color pencils

 

 

 

 

 

 

- start with an introduction of color wheel review color groupings. (Primary, secondary, warm cool)

 

- students will draw leaf shapes on black paper

 

- students will trace over their lines with glue

 

- after the glue is dry, students will color in leaves using colored pencils layering warm colors together. Have students separate colors into warm and cool piles, if they finish coloring in their leaves, they can start coloring their backgrounds with cool colors.
